A stunning c 1760-70 block printed and stencilled design. It was discovered at Gunsgreen House, Eyemouth, one of James Adams earliest commissions and the home of a famous tea merchant and smuggler of the time. This design and colour would have been the height of fashion at this period with rich carmine pigment and delicate coloured glazes although these had faded over time ( see sample )
