Conservation of a wide variety of hand-painted, printed, flocked and embossed European and Chinese wallpapers spanning five centuries can be carried out.

The practice advises on the identification and condition of historic wallpapers, as well as the options available. These can include conservation, producing a historically accurate reproduction, or a sensitive combination of both.

Careful examination of pigment particles, printing methods, paper fibres and hanging and preparation techniques inform the identity, understanding and recreation of the original scheme.
